Jonathan Huberdeau is making it difficult to knock the Saint John Sea Dogs from the top of the league standings. Huberdeau scored the winning goal with 30 seconds remaining in the third period as his Sea Dogs edged the host Shawinigan Cataractes 2-1 on Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action. The win is the seventh in a row for Saint John and gives them a three-point lead over the Cataractes for first place in the league. Charles-Olivier Roussel also scored for the Sea Dogs (38-13-2) while Nathan Beaulieu chipped in with two assists. Maximilien Le Sieur scored the lone goal for the Cataractes (35-12-5), who lost for the second time in as many nights. Matthieu Corbeil made 37 saves for the win and first star of the game as Gabriel Girard turned away 23 shots in defeat. Saint John went 2 for 5 on the power play while Shawinigan failed to score on five opportunties.
